BRIM COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF WADLEY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

BRENTWOOD, Tennessee (March 3, 2009) ― Brim Healthcare of Texas, LLC, an affiliate of Brim Healthcare, Inc., today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Wadley Regional Medical Center, a 370-bed general acute hospital located in Texarkana, Texas, effective March 1, 2009.

With the completion of this transaction, Brim Healthcare of Texas, LLC, a venture between Brim and local area physicians, began the transition of ownership by hiring over 700 hospital employees. In addition, Brim Healthcare of Texas, LLC, as part of the transaction, purchased a 25-acre vacant parcel of land in Texarkana, for the future development of a replacement facility.

Wadley Regional Medical Center is a general acute-care facility with a full range of medical specialties and advanced diagnostic capabilities. The hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by Medicare. Wadley is designated by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence and is certified by BlueCross BlueShield of Texas as a Blue Distinction Center for Bariatric Surgery.
