Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County Completes Extensive Renovation Project
Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County (MHSC) in Rock Springs, Wyoming recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of its extensive renovation project. The project includes a new obstetrics unit featuring eight new, private post-partum rooms and three labor and delivery rooms, a new main entrance/lobby area, and expanded emergency department with 24 private patient rooms, 10 new ICU rooms, and 16 pre-op/holding rooms in the same-day surgery unit.
The project began in August 2006 and included 54,000 square feet of new construction as well as 64,000 square feet of existing renovations. The facility upgrades symbolize a new era in healthcare for the hospital and the surrounding community.
Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County is a 99-bed, acute-care hospital located in southwestern Wyoming. Brim has provided management services for the hospital since 2005.
