Broadlane reviews capital equipment quotes provided by clients to verify that vendors have accurately provided the terms of the contract, and to identify additional savings opportunities. Capital equipment quotes are lengthy, complex documents that contain terms and conditions covering not only price, but also service costs, consumables and upgrades. Overcharges and errors are commonplace, and result in overpayment if not identified. In 2005 alone, Broadlane reviewed quotes totaling $32 million in purchases and identified $1.5 million in savings opportunities.
