Brim Professional Services Consultants work with executives, medical staff leaders, hospital managers, and hospital staff. Professional Services foster long-term interdisciplinary strategies that are focused on improving the quality of clinical care and patient safety.

Performance Improvement (Quality) and Patient Safety Professional Services consultants assist facilities with development or refinement of their performance improvement (quality) program, as well as assist with development, implementation, and compliance monitoring of national patient safety initiatives.

Performance Scorecard The scorecard is a tool to monitor and improve performance on key operational and strategic indicators. Brim collects data and distributes comparative information for key indicators including patient satisfaction, quality, safety, and manpower management.

Medical Staff Professional Services consultants work with medical staff leadership and medical staff support services to review and implement contemporary functions and systems.

Regulatory Compliance Professional Services consultants assist hospitals with all aspects of regulatory compliance including Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), State, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and Critical Access.

Clinical Resource Management (CRM) Clinical Resource Management is an integrated system that manages the clinical services needed by patients, assures appropriate utilization of resources, and enhances the quality of care and hospitals’ cost-effective outcomes across the continuum of care.

Manpower Management Brim’s structured productivity system is the tool hospitals utilize to accomplish manpower management. Professional Services and the regional financial officers use a collaborative team approach in implementing a results oriented program which has several components such as manpower management education, on-site reviews, and development and implementation of productivity.

Nurse Executive Leadership Development Professional Services consultants assist in the hiring process by interviewing candidates and making recommendations to the CEO, as well as provide on-site orientation to nurse executives. There are also several educational opportunities including ongoing mentorship, the annual Brim Leadership Conference, national CRM conferences, and on-site consultations.

Facility Departmental Reviews Professional Services provides individualized clinical department reviews as requested by Brim's regional vice presidents. Examples include medical/surgical, emergency services, obstetrics, intensive care, and surgery departments.

Strategic Planning Brim Professional Services Consultants participate in many of the strategic planning initiatives including quality and safety education.
